Did you know that humans are not only the ones who get heart problems or heart diseases. Like in humans, heart diseases can be successfully managed with regular visits to the veterinarian for treatment and early detection. Diseases like this can either be present at birth or acquired. In one type, a dog’s heart valves can lose their capability to close properly, causing abnormal blood flow. The other type the muscular walls of a dog’s heart become weak and damaged. Both types arise steadily over time and may result in serious situation called heart failure. The veterinarian may inquire for detailed information concerning your dog prior to performing a meticulous physical examination.
